I'm not a gamer and not much into high quality graphics, The only reason I bought this card was so that I could use Google Earth, which my last card wouldn't allow.
Maybe he means 7300GT? It is possible to replace the fan with a quieter and better one but it's more worthwhile to just invest in a better card. Though i'm not sure how much a new cooling solution for that card would cost i'd guess a new video card that is better and likely quieter wouldn't cost much more.
I myself have a old chaintech 7300GT that is horrendously loud as well. I just don't bother replacing it because i don't use that PC.
I have the same problem. It just started today.
I have an Nvidea Geforce 9400 GT that I have had for a while.
Today it started getting really noisey. I opened my computer case and took the fan off the video card and cleaned out the dust. Plugged it back in, still making the same noise. I also tried RivaTuner to see if I could speed up or slow down the RPM to possibly eliminate the vibration or whatever is causing the noise. No such luck. I then took the fan off my old video card and put it on and it also made the same noise. I guess I will have to buy a replacement fan. Any other suggestions?
Yeah I bought another crap card for about 30 quid. Perfect for me, I don't play games and that sort of nonsense, I just use the machine for work and web browsing.
