well, i wouldn't say they dominate.. they just appeal to the right crowd. the crowd that likes high quality graphics you know, like AA, AF, high resolutions, and cards that dont diminish in performance with every directx update! lol i hate my 7800gt...
thats just the way the nvidia/ati relationship has been. i mean i could literally plug in an old radeon 9800pro that i think i have laying around and it would likely run a game or two on its lowest settings... but i doubt a geforce FX5700 would!
That's why it is so easy for ATi to suddenly dominate nVidia. ATi has prices that are a lot more affordable to the common gamer
