NVIDIA Upcoming Video Card

Anyone knows when NVIDIA will be releasing a new card? I am planning to do a high end build and don't know if I should wait for the new card to come out. I like GTX 280, but heard some rumors about GTX 350. Sorry not a big fan of ATI...

I personally like ATI. It's a nice, professional card that has always worked for me (unlike some of my NVidia ones :S)

Why don't you wait a year for the prices to go down? That's what I always do. The price of computer parts isn't going to increase at all, unless the price of metal skyrockets. :D

ATi has it down better right now when it comes to price:performance. Somebody posted rumors about a GTX 280 GX2, awhile ago.

nvidia plans to release 2 new cards with a new core and gddr5 sometime early in 2009. the new core will supposedly have 45nm architecture and focusing on more stream processors. nividia is taking the opposite way of ati by releasing one large card rather than an X2 card. how that turns out i have no idea

ATI > NVidia.

just saying that from experience the ati cards last longer and they support more software changes. ATI has already got support from some game makers who are making games for direct X 10.1 ... its the red tide, get an ATI card. dual 4870x2's would be nice haha but i went with the 4850 cause its cheap and has the highest performance/price ratio in the market. i dont really care about all that, it just plays all my games on highest settings lol

i figure when they come out with something new the dual 4870x2's will have seemed like a waste of money, whereas i only spent like $160 on my card so i won't regret it lol

If you wait until 2009, then ATI will have something else out or in the works. The GTX 280 came down in price quite a bit over the past 1-2 months, you should pick one up, they are still great cards.

Omega, I got a quick question for you that is a bit off topic. Are you the same Omega guy that makes custom drivers for ATI cards?
