Which of these is a better video card for serious gaming....

-ATI Mobility Radeon X1700 256 VRAM
-Mobility 256mb NVIDIA Geforce Go 7600 PCI-Express 3d Video

And another question that doesn't really belong in this part of the forum but o well, I'm gunna ask it here is if the laptop says that it has a DVD Super Multi drive does that mean it can burn and view dvds? Thanks for the help...
 
You will probably get by with either make and model card there for laptop use. The 7600 may offer a slight edge over the ATI model since that is the pattern between these two makes until the R500 and R600 desktop cards are seen available. The initial reviews put ATI out in front there.

The make and model laptop/notebook you are running with help here. The term SUper Multi implies multiple purpose. The actual product details will show or should the actual capabilities of the drive itself.
