Oblivion.
My new rig will have.
7900Gs
C2d e6300
1GB RAM

How will oblivion run on it?
and btw whats the most recent oblivion game, and i heard it might be glitchy?
would i have to OC or change something or get patches?

thanks

i have no idea what a "C2d e6300" is since im really not that computery...but i can run the game pretty good with a 7600gt, athlon 3500+, 1gb ram...seems like ur system is a little better so i think u would play it good.

Well, I'd suggest OC'ing since the e6300 is a very good overclocker. And it should run nicely.

Latest "Oblivion" game? Are you referring to "The Elder Scrolls" series? Then that would be The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, the game were talking about in the first place.

It should run it, though you won't be able to run it on highest settings. If you can, stretch to 2GB of RAM.

It will run fine on tame settings. Just do not expect to crank up the visuals and you will be OK.

I have 6600vanilla and I play oblivion on 800X600 on medium/high setting, It lags sometimes at outdoors but thats doesn't bother me at all

The 7900GS should run it on 1280x1024 at medium or high setting without problems

Intel Core 2 duo e6300 is a CPU.

no it is a video card :P

thank you.
So i just want the settings to be, clear and definable.
Overclocking, what speed would i need to clock to?

and also oblivion, theres no barriers and i can walk wherever?

There are barriers, usually you only encounter 'em on the edge of the map, but on some places they may be before the edge of the map.

All hardware over clocks differently. What might work for one, will not necessarily work for another. I say, if you have to over clock new hardware, you never bought the right hardware ;).

I believe there is also an expansion pack coming out soon for Oblivion (within the next 6 months or so...). I may be wrong, but I think I heard that a couple of weeks ago.

would i have to OC my cpu? or can i get by with it?
and iam going to order or maybe buy that exact oblivion game i posted either NE or target

which one should i get?
If i download anything off of download.com or filefront.com or anywhere else, labeled oblivion mods or something, if i use those will i get .. banned or something
Can i use a joystick to move around?
or is it buttons and mouse
