oblivion freezes during alt+tab

The game is not meant to Alt-Tab. I think that you cant do it because the game is taking up so much memory and stuff that the PC cant handle to show the destktop and fuctions and all that but im not sure.

BTW- How is it running with a X2 3800+ and a 7900GTX? I was wondering since i also have an X2 3800+ and bought a X1900XTX which is in the mail now, and since the 2 are comparable cards im wondering if your CPU is holding it up or somethin...

There are some games (the more demanding ones in general) that have a much harder time alt-tabbing out of then most. The computer has to change the screen size (or at least think about it), change the interface command that it is using and such. Just too much if the game is pretty complex. As to windowed mode, that should work fine, because it doesn't operate the game under the same conditions that way.
