Oblivion?

Will my dell inspiron 6000 laptop handle elder scrolls oblivion?
Specs:
1gb ram
100 gb harddrive
1.86 GHz processer
Not sure what the video card is.

I heard this game requires a good video card but I only have a crappy one

Your computer will not be able to handle Oblivion...you will need a good video card to do so. I believe there is a website that tests your system for whatever game you choose..I just forgot the site.

If the CPU is dual core, possibly. If not, probably not. And more GPU info would be good. RAM is fine though.

Or you could just find the GPU info from the computer.

thanks for the help but i have one more quick question. Can you change the video card in a laptop because every thing else in it is good but my video card.

I think you could with some laptops but I'm not sure about your Dell. It's probably integrated and you can't do anything about that.

i went there then i tested hitman blood money it says i dont meet the recomendations but i do teh requirements so i looked at recomended cards and it recomended me teh exact same videa card i ahve by msi the exact same one exept the 128mb model not the 256mb whats with that i have the 256 and i trecomends the 128

Laptop + Oblivion

i play oblivion on my laptop and it runs fine. but most of the settings are near the lowest. its sucks seeing it at full settings on my mates 360 and then go home and have low settings but its still an awesome game even without the flashy graphics. i paid AUS$3000 for my toshiba laptop last year and i can play pretty much any game (it just depends on the settings i can play them at!)

Ram 1gig
geforce go 6600 128mb
i shut down all my username processes in task manager except for the few essentials. i have adsl+2 and i can play BF2 on 64 player maps with a ping of 10 - 20 and minimum lag (depending on other sh*t). the only problem is that i have a worn out patch on my laptop where my hand rests for the aswd keys!!

dunno, but my friends laptop plays oblivion like a complete champ, his specs are intel dual core 3.0 cpu, nvidea 256 possibly 512 DDR RAM video, 2 gigs of ram, Im so jealous!! but im not the one who paid 2500 dollars for it.

And to your laptop, i dont think you can. Oblivion runs on medium for me and i have a Athlon 64 3500+, 1gb ram, x850xt. Maybe on the lowest settings and the resolution at 640x480.
