ok finally got me 3700 san diego OC ed to 2.6ghz {2.2 stock} which im very happy with as a first time OCer, thanks guys to all that have responed to my questions. and for any noobies here are some tips that i found out.
1- initally i couldnt get past 207mhz core speed as the comp would reboot, this was due to voltage and a slight increase sorted it.
2- lockups were caused by my HTT multi which was set to x5 now set at x3.
3- had to get a aftermarket HS and fan due to temp risin and the stock thermal paste compared to a good quality thermal paste was about 5c
4- even after this my comp temp was running slightly high, took out the fan filters (look like nets to stop dust) and this reduced the temp again by about another 10c, the comp is now runnin cooler at 2.6ghz than at 2.2ghz
5-if you have any probs get on here and post theres always someone who knows more.................
thanks again, got an Opteron 146 comin soon and am lookin for 2.8ghz
