Asus P4N-E SLI 650I SLI
Intel Core 2 6320 1.86 GHz
EVGA 8800 GTS 640/320
Corsair XMS2 (2 X 1 GB)

CPU Multiplier 7 x
VCore Voltage 1.6V
FSB 1370 MHz
MEM 667 MHz
NB PCIE Frequency 131 MHz

Current OC 2.4 GHz (30%) increase, a few people said I should be able to get this setup to 3 GHz to run stable quite easily. It crashes if I try to go any higher, any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

raise voltage is what you should do to make it more stable...,

if youve done that, then it might be a cooling issue... What heatsink do you have?

jees i dont know about getting a 90% overclock from that chip!
its stock @ 1.8ghz. going to 3ghz might be something dangerous for full time operation.

i think you might be hitting the ceiling as it is.
run core temp in windows and tell us what the temps are.

Raised it to 1.8! jeez O.O

It's just a shit overclockerboard most likely. You'll get far better OC results with a P5K from Asus. Although only a 30% OC seems a bit low even for a 650i board... Have you tried different multipliers? (I have no idea if that is possible with your motherboard).

Yeah this board can't handle OC that well, the only multiplier option it allows is 6 and 7, I'm reading the manual to see if I can unlock the restrictions.

It's CPU-locked to 6 or 7 not motherboard ;)
I'd suggest you put it on 6 and go for the highest Frequency you can go at, it'll most likely up your OC a bit.

It's probably your RAM. What is your CPU:RAM ratio? Put it to 1:1 if you haven't already. I remember Kornowski had this same problem until he upgraded to DDR2800.
