Oc cpu

Ok, I have a compaq(I know kinda a mistake :) )
I want to OC my processor but as you might know my bios isn't going to help me here. Is there any software to help me OC my CPU?

MB

Bios Phoenix Technologies
Version 5.09
 
Well I use to have a HP with a 3000+ and nothing worked at all with it.

Sadly I think your screwed with what you got. Unless you can some how jump it to enable OC settings.
 
Yup your pretty much stuffed overclocking a Off the shelf pc because they lock everything down to prevent OC :cool:

I think its possible with a hacked Bios,But i wouldnt trust any.

alot of people said that you can overclock a pre-built machine using a programme called Clockgen,But this didnt work for my on my old HP,All the options were greyed out :)
 
Give me link to download Clockgen :) I'll give it a try
when I first got this computer I didn't even know what Over Clocking was :O
Now I know and all I can OC is my GPU lol which I did pretty well :)
