Hey guys i was just wondering what i could OC my CPU to safely without the need of additional coolers or the rise of temperature. my e4700 (2.6ghz) should be able to go over 3ghz from what ive read but im a noob OC'er. Does anyone know the best tool to use and anything i should look out for?
Thanks

you don't use tools to overclock, you use your BIOS. My E4500 is at 2.96ghz with 1.34 volts (any higher clocks and i get jittering in games) I am using a Zalman CNPS7000 Al-Cu cpu cooler, but as long as you don't change the voltage you shouldn't see much of an increase in temperature. however, i would recommend you use some better thermal paste other than silicone based stuff at least. IC Diamond 7 and Arctic Silver 5 are good.

Sometimes an after market cooler is unavoidable, but you could try just getting some case fans for extra airflow.
