Okay, so ocing makes me nervous I don't want to melt or fry my processor or board. But now I have a better cooling system. What I would like to do is run a program that marks the temp of the cpu when idle and when being pushed, then run the program again with my new cooler and new case. thisll help me see how much the new one realy helps. Then I'd like some help with the actual ocing. So is there a program thatll help me??
I have an e5300 at 2.6 on an asus p5q deluxe board.
What setting am I looking for thatll overclock it? In what increments should I increase the speed?
What temp is too high or where should I stop?
And is there a simple way for this process or is it going to have to be tedious?
Thanks a lot for any help
