My CPU at idle it 21C, after playing FEAR for 15' it was 32C, do you think I can reach an overclock of 3.0GHz?
Hairy_Lee said:thats not much of an increase for the cpu you have... i would guess that you could hit 3.5 no probs as long as you have a decent cpu cooler and decent ram
Motoxrdude said:Who knows, i just depends on your system, all OC are different. Just slowly increase your speed until it becomes unstable then decrease your CPU Ghz(just went brain dead, cant think of the actaul name of it) about 100MHZ. Thats what i do and all my OCs are stable.
That works too!Hairy_Lee said:or you could start adding more voltage to make that speed stable and keep pushing the FSB up...
Temps arent the only factor. Like me for instance, my cpu is nice and cool around 20C, but i cant get much past 3.6Ghz.Hairy_Lee said:thats not much of an increase for the cpu you have... i would guess that you could hit 3.5 no probs as long as you have a decent cpu cooler and decent ram
If i recall, Intel motherboards disable overclocking the their BIOS.Apokarteron said:I didn't find FSB, because i bought my PC ready made I think they may have deactivated it from the bios, can I download the latest bios from somewhere?
