I've had my new system for a few weeks now. I've mostly been playing Fallout 3.
Today I install a few other games. Medieval 2 Total War, and Neverwinter Nights 2. I copy over my old saves for NWN2 from my other pc.
After that I run Total War. It's fine for several minutes until I speed up the gameplay to max x3 or x4 (I also had all the settings maxed). It did fine until what looked like the end of the battle then it crashes to a blue screen.
Upon restart I load up my Fallout 3 save and it now crashes after less than a minute of gameplay. Call of Duty 4 has been running fine, and now it crashes after a minute of gameplay.
When I first got the pc I had trouble finding drivers that vista would work with. I went back maybe 3 versions, and then everything seemed fine.
Is there any way to stress my video card to see if there's some problem with it causing the crashes?
I've uninstalled the two games and I'm about to try to run fallout 3 again. If it works I guess I have to assume that something in NWN2 or Total war conflicted enough that it caused other games to crash.
Actually I uninstalled Total war, and Fallout 3 continued to crash. I just uninstalled NWN2 so I test it out in a minute.
Any ideas?
I did buy a new monitor yesterday, but I've been playing on it with no issues.
