Ok, first post here so a little back story is in order. I had a QX9650 go down on me about a month ago so I decided to do a little upgrading. I purchased an Asus Sabertooth X58 board and a Bloomfield i7 950 along with some ram and a new graphics card. I had a Linksys wireless card on my old EVGA 775 board but with the new 1366 board and the way it is designed, I needed to get a PCI-E wireless card for it to fit. Problem is after the upgrade and reinstalling windows and all that jazz, I get excellent signal to my network, but my ping is outrageous and my internet speed is around .5 mbps. I know its not my router because I have tried it on two different networks and the same problem occurs. Its not a constant issue, sometimes I will get my 30meg speed other times I would be better off with dial up. Any ideas as to what could be causing the slow down, maybe a mobo issue, maybe the card itself, (D-link DWA 556) could it be that the D-link card doesn't like Linksys routers somehow someway? Any ideas thoughts would help.
