Odd Question

My wifes PC cooling fan or power supply fan has started making odd sounds lately.
When her speakers off, she can hear the fan or motor speed up some, or rev up like a cars engine as the monitor reflects page or site changes while she's online?

This is a first time for me too to listen to the PC change gears.

I'm thinking power supply or cooling fan failure in the future.

Any ideas?

Make sure there is no dust in the cooling fan, most likely thats what it is. Take the side of the case off and listen to see what is making the noise. Most likely cpu cooling fan. Get a can of compressed air and blow it out, making sure you shut the system down first.
