i have an MSI MS-7184 motherboard in my store bought hp a1250n pavilion desktop, i want to overclock but the hp bios wont let me, and since its a manufacturer OEM board, there's no other bios option....but i was thinking i may be able to use the bios of another close motherboard? do i have any other options?

I'm not an expert with BIOS but I don't think you'll be able to use another BIOS. The main reason being that it's a mobo from an HP PC.

I've got the same problem with my FIC K7M-400 with an OEM eMachines BIOS. If I try to flash it with an FIC BIOS, I might end up with a toasted motherboard. I'd love to try but I don't want to risk it. :( You could try flashing with the correct MSI flasher but there's no guarantee it'd work.
On the MSI site, I find BIOSes for MS-7185, and MS-7194, but neither are suitable. Nothing for MS-7184. You'd need an EXACT match, otherwise you fry the BIOS chip and end up with a dead mobo.
