OEM product warranties

I bought an OEM power supply yesterday and installed it into my secondary box, works great but I want to remove the cover to take a photo of the internals to post on a different forum. Only problem is, the PSU has a 'warranty void if removed' label covering one of the screws. What I want to know is if the warranty is void because the PSU was sold as OEM; ie, without box/manual/power cables. Thanks.

i think the warenty void issue dosent really matter if u buy it oem as i bought one that was retail and it has warrenty stickers on the screws. you most likely know this but taking the case off your psu might turn out to be a really bad idea.

Has nothing to do with iit being OEM, They are all like that, If you decide to anyways don\t touch anything....

I would have thought that most OEM PSUs would have come with a warranty, even if it's only through the retailer. I've had to return OEM PSUs here in Australia, and the fact that they're OEM units hasn't affected my warranty.

Removing the sticker will obviously void the warranty, I wouldn't do it just for the sake of taking some photos.

yea, all that OEM really means is that it is a standalone unit. No cables, brackets, software, documentation, ect.

It is still a brand new product from the factory and is entitled to all the warentee stuff that a retail unit is.

I wouldn't void the warentee until the PS has proven itself reliable. I've had a PS that has died on my a few days after installing it. Just don't risk it.
