Office CD key extracted with JellyBean not working!

Hi guys,

So a few months ago I reformatted my computer and grabbed my Microsoft Office CD Key using JellyBean. Well, for whatever reason, it's not working when I try to activate/authenticate Word. Anyone know what might be going on?

I'm not sure if it matters but, in the Notepad document where I saved the CD Key, it says that it's a key for Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007. And when I boot up Microsoft Office it says that it's Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007. Does that matter? And if it does matter, where can I find a downloadable install of Office Home and Student 2007?

Thanks guys!

I honestly don't even remember where the disc is. I got this laptop ~3 years ago and I think I lost the installation disc shortly after. Do you know where I could download Office Enterprise and just use the CD Key that I have?

Edit: Alright, well now I'm really confused. I found a copy of Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 here:

and attempted to install. I was prompted with a screen to enter in my CD Key but same thing...CD Key didn't work. Any idea what might be going on?

Are you entering the key correctly? Sometimes B and 8 look the same. Double check all digits.

Like I said, you need to install the version o Ofive you have a key for. Just like you can't use an XP Home key with an XP Pro installation. You're either going to need to locate some Enterprise 07 install media or a Home Student 07 key.

You can't use an Enterprise key with Home & Student. You need a key for Home & Student.

I downloaded Office Enterprise 2007 from this website yesterday:

I tried the CD key that I have (supposedly an Enterprise 2007 one) and it still didn't work. I'm going to download another Enterprise 2007 install (a newer one) after work and see if that works. Otherwise, I don't really know what to do.

Edit: Just to reiterate, I am using an Enterprise 2007 CD key with an Enterprise 2007 install that I downloaded from the link above.

You may need to verify whether the key you have is for an OEM or retail Enterprise disc. Again, you can't use an OEM key on a retail disc or vice-versa I don't think.

Well, shoot, I'm not sure where the disc is. Might be at home but I'm currently half way across the country. If I cannot find the disc, is there anything I can do to get Microsoft Office again (besides buying it again)? Or is my only option something like Open Office?

There are two keys to an Enterprise. You will have a KMS and an MAK, you need to use the later.

Ring MS.

The only things that I have are the Product ID and the CD Key for "Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007". I also have the Product Part No., Product ID and CD Key for Windows 7 Home Premium. Apparently they are a "match to CD key data".

So, I went to the Microsoft Agent Ring site and was a bit confused as to what it is. Could you elaborate? I also heard LibreOffice was a good option.
