Ok, Christmas build, i need help, im such a noob.

You, my friend have solved my first build fear! I am looking at each part in £'s and i will probably order tommorow if in stock, it seems very good, and my step dads new pc has a worse processor etc and runs mega fast. And he spent much more.
I'll be on tommorow to check this thread just incase.
And i bookmarked yours to remember parts obviously. :p

Yeah, Number1SuperGuy, You're forgetting, that things are cheaper in the US, so something that's £300 over there will be like £500 here...

Glad I could help. I worked on that build for a long time so it's good to see it get noticed :D

By the way, I haven't ordered this computer for myself (yet) so once you get it booted up post how it runs. I'm so excited to see that bad boy in action!

I certainly hope not! hehe, well istill have my idea, and if this one is too much then back to drawing board i must go.

Just search for "hd 3850" and you should find it. Try to keep looking until you find one for about the same price as the one I have listed (about 85 pounds).

Sorry to say, but it would be well over 300, the gfx card is £110 and the processor 98, the mobo 40 and hdd 59, so with all other bits well over.
Any ideas? please, thanks, i really hoped i could order! ah well..

hm, if any ideas would be grateful, but atm i am going to price up an AMD build..and post here...andcompare to the other.

hows that? will it all work together and is it better. i think so.

I'd stick with the Intel build, it's a better CPU for the price.

Also, you looked at the 7600? It's better than the 8400.
