Ok I want to OC my old rig, it is a P-4 2600, on a P4-SDLA mobo, I have 1.5 gigs of old PC 3200 ddr sdram and a HIS X1650XT GPU, I am just trying to get soem old life out of this thing, can anyone point me in the right direction on where to get programs to make this easier for a first timmer. oh and I hate to add this but it is a Compaq, I know that it is a challange to get a OEM to OC, but thought you all could help

You will need a new "aftermarket" motherboard in order to overclock your cpu etc.

I thought I read somewhere that thre were Bios hacks that allow you to OC with oem mobos

Nope. Some motherboards might be able to overclock if it's locked, but most likely yours does not support that feature. Sorry.
