You all advised that pentium was old so I am looking for one with the dual core, etc. This is on ebay. I want to know if I'm on the right track, I'm learning. This doesn't mean I'm going to buy this very one, but is this something that has a pretty good specs, for the money?

What do you plan on using the laptop for???
 
Actually, I was looking for a laptop for a son. The one he has now is so slowwwwww........He had it cleaned up but it has never been good. I would have to see it to tell you what series of HP it is.

General use, some business programs, photos, internet, microsoft word processor for business letters, etc.

As of this moment, it would probably not be heavily used unless he finds it easier to use and really starts using a laptop. Right now, he only uses the old one occasionally.
