small question(s)

[moderator moved this thread here]
hi, im the ignorant idiot of the day...and i know this thread should be dead, but i have a question...

1)i know its stupid, but go into BIOS???how would i do that?
2)to 'overclock the FSB', what will it ask me for?
1 Overclock the FSB<<<is there a number to go up or down, or a checkbox...
2 Alter (increase) the FSB-->CPU multiplier

1) press f2, or esc, or del at start up. This is bios
2) You MAY see a section under advanced chipset or something asking about clock speed this will prob be 166, or 200, this you increase

If you have to ask questions like that on such a basic level you really shouldnt be overclocking your system, reasd some reviews or sometthing to get a background knowledge of CU's and motherboards and how they work first.

yes, you should learn more knowledges of CPU anf Motherboard, OC in the bios will be danger for the DIYER.
wft
Most boards only support ocing from bios, and second ocing from bios is a much better way than from an os

Use BIOS, but OC at your own risk. Today I changed my BIOS FSB settings to what they should be and WHAM XP says that my 1800+ 1.5GHz (only running at 1.15GHz) is 2400+ 1.92GHz. Man am I lucky, and the temps. are a bit lower then what I had earlier.

Most boards support OCing from BIOS ill give you that but most boards do not support ONLY OCing via BIOS
