Ok, i give up. need help.

Ran malawyre, ad-aware, name it i ran them. They could not fix the problem. Here is my hyjack this log.
Running XP with explorer8. My problem comes from when opening up a browser ( in this case explorer8), a second and sometimes a third browser opens up at the same time showing of course sites that are ad related. Once i close them, it seems to be running fine for a while. Then starts again as soon as i open up another page with explorer8. «Thanks for any help.

Nothing sticks out in the log. Have you ran superantispyware?

However, lets see if anything is hidden.

Download and Run ComboFix
If you already have Combofix, please delete this copy and download it again as it's being updated regularly.
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Combofix should never take more that 20 minutes including the reboot if malware is detected.
If it does, open Task Manager then Processes tab (press ctrl, alt and del at the same time) and end any processes of findstr, find, sed or swreg, then combofix should continue.
If that happened we want to know, and also what process you had to end.

In your next reply please post:
  • The ComboFix log
  • A fresh HiJackThis log
  • An update on how your computer is running
 
Well, didn't quite work the way i wanted it to. Ran superspyware, got 2 viruses that were deleted. Then tried to download combofix but always got a "you cannot rename combofix to combofix1", i had my antivirus deactivated while trying to download it. So that's where i'm at right now. Problem with pupping ad browsers is still there.

Do you have an older copy of Combofix on your desktop? If so, delete it and try to download it again.
 
Delete any copy you have on the desktop, then redownload the file. However, this time, save it as combo-fix not combofix. You need to rename the file before you actually download it. This procedure worked the last time someone had the issue you are having.
