For a build of this level of power do i need a heatsink??

This build comes to a mere $690 With shipping. NOT including the rebates of $35.
Please give me some advice. but i dont want to spend any more money.
Will this play crysis, battlefield, modern warfare, deus ex, world of warcraft?
Not nessecarily on ULTRA but pretty high settings?

I think my build is complete and i have decided to build it myself for those that were wondering about that.

Are all of these parts compatible?? will this build Work 100% ?

THANKYOU!!

Also, I will NOT be overclocking ever! i have no idea how to and i dont believe i have any need to for my level of gaming. just casual in the evenings.

that pc will have no problem whatsoever completely maxing out world of warcraft and modern warfare as well. i would go for 64-bit though, 32-bit is a little restrictive down the road. and also might wanna grab a western digital hard drive instead of the samsung. not that samsungs are necessarily bad hard drives, its just western digital has always been very reliable.

EDIT: also, i think you would be much happier with this case, antec is very well known for quality, whereas raidmax is definitely on the lower end of the spectrum. and with the rebate, its actually cheaper than the raidmax anyways. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129074

So im guessing the 955 can run the 64 windows so go ahead and get the 64 bit? and could you link a GOOD but CHEAP heatsink please?

Running the other games? comfortably?

crysis might not max out, but it will be damn close. battlefield should run smoothly, (will definitely run smooth if you overclock to around 3.8ghz on the cpu) deus ex is a bit of a heavy hitter on my pc, but you will still be able to set it high. this all depends on your resolution though, of course.

heatsink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233082

xigmatek is almost always on top when it comes to temp/$

Yes, it can run 64bit. The cpu already comes with a heatsink unless you want to buy an aftermarket one.

Thankyou for the info on the games that sounds plenty good enough for me!
And after changing to the 955 processor getting me from 2.8g to 3.2g and giving me the 64 bit windows 7. that should change it for the best right?

Thats only putting me at 720 but i still need a heatsink.. im really not wanting to break 750 here.. help? lol

And hey if the heatsink they give you is sufficient then im happy!!! will it work enough to keep it cool along with the other 3 fans in the system. and the fact that i rarely keep the 'side' of a case on. only during transport. when its sitting in my house.. that side panel is never on the pc. keep it cooler.

well the heatsink that comes with the 955 is adequate, and even capable of a small overclock on its own. for mild gaming, i dont really suggest an aftermarket hsf right now. hell, im still running the stock fan on my gaming rig :)

yep, it will keep nice and cool in that antec case. however, i do suggest you keep the side on when the computer is running, it shouldnt make a difference to the temperatures and it will cut the amount of dust buildup to a fraction.

Keep the panels on the computer. It will run cooler that way and keep it cleaner too. With the panel off, the flow of the air is not correct.

good 'nuff. happy building, and if you please, why not take pics of the build as you go and post a thread for all the nerds to talk about :D

yeah, you chose the parts well. you went cheap where you could, but spent money on necessary things like a quality power supply and a well known gpu. oh and it wont overheat, it'll be fine

well newegg does have a warehouse there on the east coast, so 2-3 days sounds right. i usually get my stuff from the warehouse here in ca, so it takes 1-2 days :)

They have plants in New Jersey and Tennessee as well as california so it all depends on where they ship it from. You may get a split shipment from 2 places.
