Long story short. I want to put an computer inside an binder so carry it around with no weird looks at me... Sooo.. So far I can fit an:

Celeron 566MHz Socket 370
Gigabyte GA-6VE74+ (The FSB for the processor is 66, but the mobo can auto detect and go up to 150MHz for the bus, so easily upgradeable to 1-1.3ghz or even more)
Nvidia GeForce2 MX400 32MB AGP
Sound Blaster LIVE! 24Bit PCI
1x PC133 64MB
2x PC100 64MB
Stock cooler w/ Arctic Silver 5...

Now the crazy part...

I need to add an DVD Drive, Floppy Drive, More USB ports, maybe an 1GHz CPU... And an low profile FX5200 or better GFX AGP card...

Now the EXTREME part...

Will an 60Watt (80Watt peak) power it...???

As in the TINY picoPSU :

http://www.mini-box.com/picoPSU-60-WI?sc=8&category=13

It has an 6-24V range, so that it wont automatically shutdown if the battery gets below 12V...

Battery: Not decided

QUESTIONS & THE SCREEN

1) Now.. the SCREEN (THATGUY16 PLEASE HELP!)... I wish to power something like an Gamecube screen like yours or somethinglike yours... Is there an way to make an gamecube screen to an main screen?

2) If I use an 13-14V instead of the 12V, will I blow it?

3) The PSU I listed, can I just snip off the wires on the connector and just connect the battery to it?

4) Is 60W enough to power it? If I use an Optical that powers itself offa the USB power, will it do? If I use 1 stick of 128MB RAM??? An 2.5" laptop HDD @ 3.2GB, 4200RPM, with an laptop to desktop drive converter?

5) Any electrical engineering people here yet?

6) If ANYONE has even one sentence of help, I would love to see it. Right now every little thing matters.

I am doing this for myself + my science project. Mouse will be non-laser (save electricity), and the keyboard will silicon flexible.

Ok, does this gamecube screen have a s-video input or a way to connect it to you video card? You can use it as the main monitor though the problem is the resolution, even if you were to set the res for the screen to the lowest possible it may be impossible or hard to read words on it (i think the gamecube screens are smaller than 5.4"?). For hooking it up for power, i just plugged it into a outlet. Though i suppose if its 12v you could solder a 12v molex connector to it. I wouldn't suggest even trying to hook anymore than 12v to it because you will blow it. Im sure its possible...

I used a ps2 screen that i just ripped from the housing

edit: i doubt that tiny psu is going to power it all...

The Other One thinks it can... but doesn't suggest me upgrading it...

Thanks for the tip!

It may be able too.... im unsure, he probably knows more than i do :D

Does that screen have a input capable of hooking it up?

that is cool!,,

how about a small laptop in a binder??

lol :P

this will be sweet when its done though,, will you post pictures?

Meh I'll try.

Soooo... One question.... Which sucks up less energy? Celeron, Pentium, Athlon? And would it make an big difference if I added one 50mm case fan?

Celeron/Celeron D/Celeron Conroe? Pentium I/II/III/IV/(or the core 2 duo based ones) what and Athlon xp/64? We'll need some more details.

And as for new CPU's, I believe the sempron is pretty power conserving.

Thanks, but will it power with an 60/80W PSU?

Soo.. could you put these in order? Sempron, Core 2 Duo, Mobile Sempron?

Would the mobile Sempron take up less pwr than the Celeron 566?

And for all yall home DIY people, so I they picoPSU I listed:

I can just snip off the end an connect the 2 ends to an + and - on an battery?

Could someone put these from worst to best?

Lithium Polymer, NiCD, NiMH, Lithium?

WHAT SHOULD I TRUST

I just researched my 2600+ On newegg, it was $29.99, BUT it says that the one on newegg was for an desktop, while booting, mine says it's an mobile?! What should I trust?
