Im pretty computer knowledgeable been ive troubleshot many computers and built two of my own so i know my way around of a computer

anyway here is the delima I am trying to set up the wireless network on my GF's laptop and i got it to work (got into the wifi from the people across the street).

at first it was saying that windows cannot configure wireless configuration... plz use wireless zero config... so i used these steps

http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1378101

ok i was able to use the regular steps after that to connect to a wireless network
( I.E

everything works fine but the moment i restart the computer, the settings go back to how it was before and i have to repeat these steps again each time she/i turns on the comp... this got me scratching my head but how can i make it permanent

Please do not use someone's wireless internet without their knowledge and permission. To use the windows configuration you need to disable the laptops wireless configuration utility on bootup and that will allow you to use windows all the time and the setting will stick.
