Okay, so...

I have an nVidia 8500 graphics card and a 21" widescreen monitor. When I play some games, they get all stretched because of the widescreen monior. Is there anyway I can get bars on the sides of my screen so it doesn't look all stretched? I have Vista if it matters.

Go to Nvidia Control Panel, in "Select a Task" list choose "Change flat panel scaling" and check "Use NVIDIA scaling with fixed aspect ratio".

I don't see that option in th emenu on the left.

try going into the game settings and change the screen resolution to what it should be for your screen and try the aspect ratio, it should have 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10. for my lcd its set at 1440x900 @ 16:10.

umm...which menu? If you mean the "select the task" list, you need to look through the "Display" category.

Also, have you updated your drivers?
