Okay Sorry but another Graphic Question...

When I look atthe graphic card spec, and it says AGP slot and what not... It also says DDR2 mem or DDR, my PC uses DDR mem(yea i know old)... does it matter what kind my graphci card uses??
 
sorry word wrong, i ment to say does it matter what kind of card i pick DDR or DDR2 it will work as long as it's AGP right?
 
Your system RAM has absolutely nothing to do with which graphics card you can use. Just as long as it's AGP, it should work. DDR2 is better then DDR, like stranglehold metioned. Are you sure it isn't able to use DDR3 as well?
 
The 7600GT uses GDDR3 and there are AGP versions of that card. DDR3 is not a very wise investment at this point. The same thing happened when DDR2 first came out.

You are talking about DDR3 for system memory, it is completely different when it comes to video memory. GDDR3 is fairly old, GDDR4 has been out for a while.

Could you rephrase the question? When you say there are two different wattages given, are you looking at the total wattage and then the ones for each individual rail?
 
So what usually comes out first, the system DDR series or the videoRAM DDR series??
I am assuming that the RAM for the system comes out prior to the GPU ram, as that would make the most sense...

Actually GDDR is improved upon more often than system memory. Video cards are in a tough business, they need all the speed and bandwidth from their VRAM that they can get.
 
okay on my psu box instead of saying the number or watt it shows two seperate numbers of watt and one is not able to handle my new graphics card but the other number can handle it... because the max amount of watt for the graphic card is 300watt but the highest number on the PSU says 270watt so i was going to take a chance....
