old computer problem

hi all
my friend has an old computer with a really weird problem and he "definitely"wants to fix it.. The problem is every time it starts up.. nothing appear except for the black screen ....Can any expert give a hand? Thanks.. btw the system is (dont laugh) Pentium 3 660mhz and 128mb Ram.. thanks..

Any beeps? Do the fans/hard drives/activity lights work?

It sounds like the motherboard has died. Remove the ram then try starting it. if you get a beep its not the MB if you dont get a beep, then Im afraid the MOBO is dead
