Old Computer = Won't Play Video

I have an old Dell Optiplex GX1, with Nero Showtime as a video player installed.
Does this computer just come with too low quality of some video or graphics card, or do I need newer/better drivers?
I can play flash videos with the computer, but they're usually kinda choppy...

What are your exact specs? I have a P2 with an ISA graphics card and I can play divx on it, but only in linux. You can get a bootable CD off the internet, I recommend Knoppix, just google it.

Um... I feel a little dumb asking, but what do you mean by exact specs? Do you mean like the processor and ram and stuff?
I just don't know where to look other than right clicking MyComputer >> Properties...

Okay, well... some of the specs are in my signature. It's a Dell Optiplex GX1, with 256MB RAM, and a 548MHz Pentium III... I'm not sure how to see what kind of video card or whatever it has though...
