I have a really old game. The game is called LEGO Creator. I can install it but the minute I try to run the game it says "not supported on NT" Can anyone help me out?

DOSBOX! You took a Fat based game and installed in on an NT cored OS. I trust that's an old 95 or 98 version? of the program. If 16bit for 95 you might have a chance through a virtual machine. Dosbox creates a virtual dos einvironment. How about Duke Nukem on Vista? The original 8bit version?

Dosbox is a freeware found at http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/download.php?main=1 If the game is a Windows only version...? ut oh! :(

What's dos box for?

Why not just use command? I've never come across a game that wouldn't work natively with windows using the compatability modes.

in fact, i just downloaded the dn1 demo, and it runs fine

If you believe the information at Wikipedia this is what is seen there on the supposedly 98-ME game.
Windows XP compatibility
Older Lego Creator CDs do not work in Windows XP unmodified.[citation needed] When installed from an original game disc, overwritten with a third party patch and run in Windows 98/Me compatibility mode, the game will play on some Windows XP computers.[citation needed] Lego has released a newer edition which is XP compatible.[1]

Unfortunately Lego doesn't offer any real online support or FAQs section on their products as you can see from their home page at http://creator.lego.com/en-US/default.aspx Dosbox is generally only good for dos games you could run while in Windows 9X less likely ME. As you will see from the image here the old dos game's installer worked on XP while the initial setup and actual use would require Dosbox. With Vista some XP programs will install and not run after. That's the drawback of upgrading to a newer OS. http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/6541/duke3donxpct2.jpg

I finally figured it out, lol. Could I use this for a game like Stronghold 2? The graphics are all screwed up on this PC, it is too fast for the game.

"Cpukiller 3 is a shareware program that runs in the background and eats up CPU cycles. This limits CPU power and effectively slows it down. You can turn it on and off at your discretion, so it only needs to work when you're running those legacy games."

i have not tried it but its definitely worth a shot
