old games on 64bit vista

i'm running 64bit vista home premium, and i really really really want to play 'the syndicate', an old game that just doesnt want to install...

is there some sort of emulator that can make it run?

have you tried compatablity mode mate?

yeah that never works for me... i've tried every single mode - it wont even open the install file

Try creating a virtual OS of the one required. use Microsoft Virtual PC for that or VMWare Server. (You need install discs of the OS though).
