old pc - help pls

hello everybody...
i don't know much about computers... in fact i know very little so i thought to play safe and i found a really old pc : acer travelmate 202t
and i noticed that it couldn't access the internet...emm i found where the modem card is on its motherboard and i wanted to ask : can i buy any ethernet card and will it be compatible and work ???

You can either buy an ethernet pcmcia card or a wireless pcmcia card. These are cards that slide into the narrow, wide slot in the laptop. The cards will come with install cd's. Install the software on the cd, then plug in the card and you should be good to go.

I'd suggest the ethernet expansion card, as it's easier to just plug in a cable to get internet rather than setting up a wireless network.
