Hey guys!

I have a strange problem..

I have pretty old PC in my hands right now and I tried to reinstall the OS etc.. clean it etc.. Soo..

I installed Windows 7 to it.. it has IDE HDD 40GB also cd drive is IDE cable..
Installation went well.. slowly , but well.. and now when I try to boot again (changed boot to HDD instead of USB-HDD) and now Windows won't boot from the HDD. I see this error:

serial_ch0 master no device
serial_ch1 master no device

and then I see this on screen:

It won't go past that.. any ideas what's wrong ?

Installing windows 7 on an old pc is a no no. What are the system specs?

Processor
Motherboard
memory

OK.. now I'm trying with a real Windows XP CD.. and lol it won't boot..

There's just that

"Boot from CD/DVD :" message and I can't do anything.. pressing random keys on the keyboard don't work..

Normally when it says that it wants you to hit a key to continue. Is your keyboard plugged in? :D

Yea because I can do stuff in BIOS..

So I have bootable CD with Windows XP.. bootable USB with Windows XP..

Boot order:

USB-HDD
CD/DVD
Hard Disk

but nope, nothing works.. it won't go nowhere..
Still the same page.. with no ways to go somewhere

Only difference there is that..

Above that line:
IDE Channel 0. Master Disk HDD S.M.A.R.T. capability .... Disabled

Is this line:

USB Storage Device : TOSHIBA TransMemory PMAP

And that's all..

When you tried booting from the disc drive, did you set it to first or just leave it second?

Edit: Yeah that's the PS/2 on he's talking about. So that's not the issue.

It is the first option.. when I tried to boot from the CD..
When I tried to boot from HDD I chose Hard Disk as the first one
and when I tried from the USB then I chose USB-HDD
