Old programs compatable with new Mac?

The only games I care about are Oregon Trail versions 1 and 2, Treasure Mathstorm, Carmen Sandiego and my collection of Sim games (Park, City, Town, Ant, Safari.)

I'd say all of these games are between 10 and 15 years old. They all say they are both Macintosh and Windows compatible. I used them on my 1994 Macintosh - does this mean they will also work on Mac OS X? I'm considering buying a MacBook for school next year and would like to know if I will still be able to enjoy these games.
 
OS X can be rather picky when it comes to older games... So, it may work, but I wouldn't count on it. Realize macs are also running on a completely different architecture (previous 68K processors, G3/4/5; now Intel/x86 based). I know OSX has the option for OS 9 compatibility mode, but I've really never tried it here or on an intel based back for that matter...
