it might seem a bit expensive but normal people don't buy alien ware stuff...they're designing computer for the rich and 5 grand to them i guess wouldn't seem that bad. plus its got duel 6800 gt 256 megs...that's like 500 dollars there, the cpu probably cost in the thousands and who knows how much that case and water cooling costs. HD is a raptor and it's got DDR2 ram. Yes you can build it yourself for about half the price but it's an alienware so expect to pay alot.

haha ya the cards and the hardrive alone willl set u back like 1.200$ but u gotta remeber big companies like Alienware buy all their stuff in bulk so the get it for WAY cheaper
