I just upgraded a new motherboard and am using the old one i na different computer. The old motherboard was using the hd4870. Before i took it all out i went into bios and made the onboard default. i turn o nthe computer the monitor will not turn as if theres no signal at all.
I took out the cmos battery, is there anything else i can do.

Computer turns on all fans and waht not. IDK if the speaker works as its a new case. like i said i set onboard as main gfx in bios and then saved it to turn off.

I got it. I had to put in the hd4870 in pcie slot go into bios and re select onboard. For some reason it didnt save in bios but all is well.

Thanks for the update to your own issue
But just a reminder that just removing the CMOS battery is not enough to reset the Bios settings. You also need to short two pins (usually jumper close to CMOS battery) Refer to your Motherboard/Computer Manual for exact steps on Resetting your bios

I know bout the jumpers but this mobo dont have bios jumpers. Only had CLRTC and the battery. I i did both but didnt fix problem at all. The motherboard by default is set to PCIe for gfx.

Well I agree I've had to do the same thing you did to change the Bios settings
But it also may have just required the main 24pin power connector disconnected (and power cord out ofcouse) and then just hold the ON button in for 30secs (but all in all remounting the card may have been just as quick)
