Onboard Video

Why buy a Core 2 for use on a board with onboard video? Onboard video is very limited for basic email checking, word processing type applications. If you plan to run games, multimedia, or anything else with a large demand on graphics support you will caught in a bind.

The board type most often seen with onboard video are micro atx boards like this Asus model seen at http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2366119&Tab=2&NoMapp=0 This is one of 20 models Core 2 ready seen at http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CatId=2438&

The other place to look through Socket 775 model boards is seen at http://www.memoryexpress.com/index.php?PageTag=&page=cat&memx_menu=214&SID= Here you have to go through each model for each brand and look over specifications as well as the price.

What are some semi expensive mobos for an e6300 that has onboard video.

If you want to overclock, don't get a motherboard with integrated video. For instance, a member here bought a Gigabyte GA-965G-DS3 (which has integrated graphics), thinking that it would have the overclocking ability of a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3. Instead of being able to overclock to above 3Ghz like the 965P version can, he was limited to a 2.66Ghz overclock.
