One computer holds all games, other accesses

Hello everyone,
I am not sure if this is even possible, but if it is, I would love to learn all ideas on how it works and best ways without using vnc.. I want to build a computer with a huge harddrive to hold all of my games. I also want to build a purely gaming pc to access those games on the computer mentioned earlier. I would like to keep all games off my gaming pc (contradicting I know) but still be able to access them and play them. Is this possible?

I've thought of that, but I've heard that load times and such for games such as Company of Heroes and Battlefield will take forever if using an external HDD. Also I am building more than one gaming pc, which I should have mentioned in OP, and I don't want to use more than one machine so that I don't forget which HDD is which and what not. Also, the storage computer will hold more than just games.. It will hold photos and files and movies and such.

If you get an eSATA or USB 3.0 drive speed and loading times won't be a problem.

Thank you for comments, but just for curiosity sake, there is no way to do what I was asking other than external HDD?

It will probably work but i doubt it'll work flawlessly. You can install a game to any path you want. But lots of stuff are still stored at other places. Supporting applications/frameworks (directx, openal, ms xna framework) and don't forget the registry. Haven't really tested if games store vital information in the registry but you could give it a try. But i'd test stuff first with a cheap external drive before buying a complete pc.
