One last check for buying

Looks good, but the mobo is a little weak. Try to get a better one. I'll post back with a few.

What is your budget? Others could help you come up with a possibly better setup.

i did get help awhile back and y is mobo weak? he wont be doing any gaming a it supports ddr2 and dual cpu so it looks good to me

Case: Decent looking, but i wouldnt recommend using that power supply.

Motherboard: Looks like a good budget board, but from the reviews it doesnt seem like a good overclocking board.

CPU: I would recommend getting a better single core, such as the Athlon 64 series. But if you insist on dual-core, that looks pretty nice, just dont expect it to be good in games.

RAM: I would go with this ram, most likely lower timings, and better quality

Hard Drive: I would recommend this Hard Drive, it's SATAII and has 160GB of storage.

Keyboard: It's a nice keyboard, but personally i dont think you need it for your system.

Mouse: Looks very good for the price.

Monitor: Very nice, but i would consider this. It has a $60 mail-in rebate. I have that Tyris monitor and i love it.

Optical: Ordinary CD burner, but for $10 more you can get a DVD Burner.

Speakers: Decent budget speakers, just dont plain on blasting music.

OS: Nothing special, but if its not too much more i would consider Media Center.

And what are you doing about a video card?

ok he won't be doing any gaming so wouldn't psu be fine or does that really matter? if it does know a cheap one? but good? y single core? he would just be multitasking so dual core better? yes? what is deal with ram? what do u mean with timing and such? he already got the monitor so... ya, he picked out the keyboard cuase he liked the looks, what would changing to media center do? my first build so wouldn't i need retail for hdd cause i need the cables? and it has onboard video but i think i might put a nvidia tnt2 or something 32mb agp of that sort i got laying around (thx so far)

I would say definitly change that case you can get the case but i would never use that power supply your paying so cheap for a case and power supply

You gotta be crazy if that power supply goes down i dont wanna be you in that situation

If hes using intetgrated video, then it should work.

I was thinking that you were going to be gaming. If your just doing alot of multi-tasking, that PD will work well.

Well it's only a few dollars more. It will perform better, and may last longer.

They have other keyboards for less than half that price, and they still look good.

It adds some features from XP Pro, and it works well if you plan to use your computer for alot of media, such as photo viewing, DVD Watching, ect.

The motherboard should come with all the cables you need.
