one serial HD vs. two ide hd's in raid 0

I currently have two ATA 100 WD 7200 rpm hard drives with 8 meg buffers in RAID 0. My motherboard supports any serial hard drive setup as well, but which would be faster? My current setup with the RAID IDE HD's, or a single WD raptor? The Raptor is 10,000 RPM's and has a higher transfer rate. Any suggestions? thanks
 
I get 216Mbps with my Raptors. However, if you aren't going to use RAID, I'd stick with IDE. Why not try and get another pair of 160G and have 4 ;)
