Installed my new 120gb SSD as my windows drive and a WD black 1 TB as a storage drive.

First of all I know it usually displays less as far as storage goes but my HDD says 930GB and my SSD 111GB

Regardless of less space I installed windows and a handful of programs (Cpuid, kaspersky, google chrome and maybe 2 more apps) Yes that is ALL i have installed on this drive.

I have 61 gigs left... Where did the 50 gigs go lol??? windows install is only 17gb I thought.

Turned hibernation off via cmd prompt "powercfg -h off" now i have 12GB MORE space WOW. Still though seems like to little as windows and only maybe 1gb of apps are installed

you can turn down or off the page file. set it to 800mb for min and max. you can find it under control panel, system, advanced system settings, advance tab then click settings under performance, then advance tab again, then under virual memory click change. also try to lower the amount of space system restore takes up or just disable it. and change the size of your recycling bin too by right clicking it and selecting properties

Windows will create a page file the size of your RAM by default.

I find a 1-2GB PF is enough. But then again I have 16GB of RAM.
