Did anyone break their motherboard or other expensive components while trying to build a PC other than me?

Also, does anyone know where you have to bring your components so someone else can assemble a pc for you?

Nope. I can't even imagine how you managed to do that.

I have 0 formal training, and have had no problems swapping computers from case to case or taking everything out to remove dust on numerous occasions, taking no precautions whatsoever.

How did you break something and how do you know that you broke it? How do you know that the motherboard is the faulty component, especially if you are apparently new at building. How are you sure?
