I don't think this post is in the right place so I apologise.

I have two HDMI ports on my tv, and I am wanting to plug both my Wii U into one, as well as having my laptop plugged into the other via HDMI. When I have the laptop plugged into the HDMI1 port it recognises it fine. However I plugged my wii U into the HDMI2 port and it was not showing up. I'm sure it used to work fine with them both plugged in before.
I then removed the HDMI cable from the HDMI1 port and put the Wii U hdmi cable into HDMI1, went to source on my remote and it is showing up HDMI2 which upon pressing brought up my Wii U on the screen. I am confused by this :s
I want to be able to have both cables plugged in at the same time, and switch between the two using my remote, as having to unplug one to connect the other one is a pain.

Any help greatly appreciated

Have you tried leaving them both plugged in and switching HDMI inputs via the remote?
