Only pulling 65mbps

I have charter and run 100+ mbps wired. However, I’ve had a Linksys E900 and would pull about 40mbps. I found an Asus RT-N56U gigabit router for $20 so thought I’d give it a whirl. I’m still only pulling between 50-65 mbps.


My modem is

Cisco DPC3010

DOCSIS 3.0 Modem


Without dumping a ton of money into a router, how can I actually use the speed I am getting from Charter

Are you trying to use wireless with these, or is it simply in-line, wired, behind the router?

I assume the 100+ mbps wired means you tested directly connected to the modem.
 
If you're wireless, what are the wireless specs of the device you are running the speed test on?
