Open box motherboards.

Hey guys, if I were to buy this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131759R

I could just download the drivers/software from ASUS's site right? Nothing else needed to run it?

(Yes, I know it requires a fresh install of windows and it most likely wouldn't include the backplate.)

wont get I/O shield or cables, so if you want a I/O shield you will need to contact ASUS, other than that no, drivers is all you need.

On open box, it will vary what accessories will come with it. But yes, just down load the driver from Asus.

What gets me is why they have so many open boxes to sell.

May be a website mistake or something? I doubt they have an abundance of these motherboards that are open box.

I'd just download the latest drivers from the ASUS website anyway regardless of whether or not the board comes with a driver CD. Chances are the drivers on the CD are going to be old and newer ones will be available. I'd download and then burn the latest drivers to a CD/DVD or copy them onto a pendrive so that if you install Windows and find that you need an ethernet driver to get online you can at least install the drivers.
