Open Source Software - Windows

I'm becoming a huge fan of Open Source software under Windows. The good stuff out there performs far better than regular software, plus I just like the idea of open source, everyone can look at the code, tons of add-ons. I was always a Firefox user, but i started playing with Songbird. All i can say is f*%$ iTunes, this thing runs far better than iTunes ever has. Plus it gives me an add-on to display song lyrics on the right-hand column, and so many skins to play with i'll probably never get bored of it. It's tied directly to my last.fm account too, which is just awesome.

Anyone have any open source software you think is worth having? Right now, i'm mostly just using Firefox as a browser, Thunderbird for mail, Songbird for a music player, and Open Office for text documents.

I use Winamp (www.winamp.com) for my Music.

Avira and Avast are good AV's to have.

Malwarebytes is a good Maleware Scanner to have.

Audacity is a good free audio recording studio.

WinRAR is a good free zipping/unzipping software.

Open Source: http://sourceforge.net/
Is huge, its so huge that many programs MS are a little concerned of ;)
But if you're talking about freeware as well, there's no other way to go :)
As an example, I use free Avira, which outperforms most (possibly all) other Antiviruses out there

Not everything can be posted about Open source software, there's just too much to choose from :good:

hah, yea i realize the open-source market is huge, i was just looking for the big titles that everyone uses. forgot to mention my love for CCleaner, which I believe is also open-source.
