Open with problems

When I open a program, it opens with my internet browser named opera. When I make a program open with something else, then all my others files also opens with it. I can download something, but I can't open it, because of it opens with opera. Somehow I made my antivirus work and I scanned my pc for viruses and it didn't find anything. I've tried to make my pc search for errors and I have also tried to make my computer go back in time, but it couldn't go enough back in time. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. :)

Don't go messing with your file associations or you'll end up having to repar your windows install. What are you trying to open that it opens with opera?
 
So your computer's trying to open a program, like an .exe file with Opera? Wow that's crazy...just checking that's what you mean?
All your other files? Like every file on your computer?
 
I know this is going to sound really stupid and something you must have tried already but what happens if you uninstall Opera? I'm guessing they can't open in it if it doesn't exist and uninstalling it should get rid of most of the registry elements, right? Obviously if it does work then reinstall it and hopefully all's okay or use a different browser?
 
How do you want me to download it, when I can't open it? I can download stuff, but it will open in opera which won't make the program work... :)
 
If I change for example steam to open with steam, then all my other files will also open with steam. So it won't do any differents if I remove opera, because they will all open in something elsethen :S
 
Use other computer and USB Flash drive


Right-click the REG file exe_fix_w7.reg and choose Merge. Confirm changes and reboot computer.
