opening pages within sites

hi,my internet connection is working fine yet often when i try to open a page within a page e.g. to click on a photo to get more details, it won't let me and the picture only appears for a millisecond. i'm sure it's something basic with the set up. please help.

i've tried doing that but it won't let me. i think it may be something to do with my internet configuration. any ideas?

i'm using internet explorer. I think i need to do something to enable pop-ups but not sure what, i'm rather clueless as far as computers are concerned.

Ok.. I have had some sleep.. and my brain partially wors now. In internet Explorer go the tools menu, pop-up blocker, turn off pop-up blocker.
 
hi, i've tried that but it was already blocked. could it be something to do with "javascript"'
